People often ask us, “What does ‘Tizgee’ mean?” Tizgee is a stylized version of “exit” spelled backwards. Why “exit”? The company was founded on the premise that we wanted to help our clients exit the world of deceptive technology practices—the delivery of expensive and often unnecessary services.
Tizgee’s owner and founder (and my Mama), Joey Gupta, brings over 25 years of IT experience to the company. Joey believes that to be a good leader, one must be a good learner so she gives free reign to the talented folks who work at Tizgee. Tizgee’s staff are always willing to help, answer questions and go the extra mile to ensure that the client is happy.
Tizgee’s location in northern Virginia, just outside of Washington D.C., provides us access to a variety of clients–government contractors and agencies, nonprofits and commercial enterprises–through the DC metropolitan area.

The quintessential jack-of-all-trades, Rajat helps Joey build and strengthen client relationships – attends meetings, liaises with clients, coordinates with the design and development teams, and is (along with Joey) responsible for quality control on all client projects.
A career (m)adman, Rajat’s true calling lies in content writing. He enjoys churning out the occasional blog and creates, manages and monitors digital and social media marketing campaigns on behalf of Tizgee’s clients.
During his leisure hours, Rajat is a voracious reader, an MMA enthusiast, and obsessively tunes-in to the news. He enjoys nights out drinking with buddies just as much as he savors movie-dinner nights with wife, Sanjukta and t(w)een-aged kids, Roshni and Rishaan.
Suvajit brings more than three decades of experience building and leading technology organizations, including serving as Chief Technology Officer for large-scale enterprise software and healthcare technology companies. Throughout his career, he has helped organizations navigate growth, modernize technology platforms, adopt emerging technologies, and build high-performing engineering teams.
At Tizgee, Suvajit serves as an Executive Advisor, helping business leaders align technology strategy with business goals. He works with CEOs, founders, and executive teams to assess technology organizations, evaluate leadership structures, guide AI adoption, and plan for growth and transformation. His experience spans enterprise software, healthcare technology, AI strategy, product development, platform modernization, and global engineering leadership. Having led organizations of more than a thousand technology professionals across the United States and India, he brings both strategic perspective and practical operational experience.

When he’s not advising clients, Suvajit enjoys spending time with his adult children, traveling with his wife and their beloved dog, biking, and exploring new technologies.
Tizgee’s resident whiz kid, Sonu takes a great deal of pride in his work. Despite his expertise across a wide array of back-end coding software and front-end development platforms, he remains hungry to diversify his experience and broaden his horizons.
Sonu is a tech. trouble-shooter par excellence, ensuring that the various digital platforms and assets under his care are up and running 24×7, with built-in redundancies to deal with all sorts of contingencies. He is also an incredible team player, who works closely with external service providers as well as internal design and project teams, to deliver high quality work that delights Tizgee’s clients.
As one of the longest-serving, most loyal and dedicated members of Team Tizgee, Sonu has been a pillar of strength for Joey over the better part of the last five years. He remains one of Tizgee’s most valued resources.
When he’s not busy coding, Sonu enjoys taking long drives with his loving wife – Anjali, or playing Cricket with his toddler son – Hridayan. A bit of a foodie, he drools at the mere thought of hot, buttery Alu ke Paraanthe. But he truly treasures those special moments of magic during the vacations he takes with his young family.
Tizgee’s benign but brilliant big boss lady, effortlessly captures the attention and commands the respect of her coworkers and clients alike. When she speaks, folks listen. Not just because she’s sharp, articulate, and offers sage advice, but also because she’s charming, personable and persuasive.
Having established her competence and credentials as a corporate IT consultant over a career spanning nearly two decades, Joey was bitten by the entrepreneurial bug. She co-founded Tizgee in June 2013, offering clients technology-driven marketing solutions, that leveraged her proven expertise in technology, but combined that with her passion for graphic design and marketing communications.
When her co-founders jumped ship in search of bluer oceans, Joey stayed the course. It hasn’t all been smooth sailing, but she has weathered every storm and steered USS Tizgee towards new horizons. Today, she runs a tight ship, assisted by a motley crew of individuals she trusts. Together, they focus unwaveringly on the destination, but never forget to savor the voyage!
Joey resides with Suvajit, her loving husband of 30 years, in Herndon – VA. After five years, she is still coming to terms with being an empty nester, even as she continues to shower her love on her grown-up kids, Rishi and Rini. She is a caring daughter to her mother Dia, who lives nearby. But as things stand today, Wally – her beloved (canine) baby and Tizgee’s official mascot – occupies that spot at center of her existence.
