Virginia Procurement Technical Assistance Program
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) partnered with the Virginia Procurement Technical Assistance Program (PTAP) to host the 4th Annual Veterans International Small Business Opportunities Conference (VISBOC) this year on October 10th at George Mason University (GMU).Visionary was proud to assist in VISBOC 2017 by running the registration table, as well as serving as a liaison for the guest presenters and exhibitors in order to help make this year’s VISBOC a success. Visionary was also as a Bronze Star sponsor for the SBAIC Happy Hour reception that took place immediately after the conference. The conference included a panel of representatives from several federal agencies that work internationally, a Veterans resource panel, and also a panel of Veteran Owned Small Businesses. Representatives of USAID, Department of State, OPIC, and MCC also conducted a town hall, and many large contractors that work with USAID hosted exhibit tables that meet with Small Businesses (in attendance) with the potential to work with them as subcontractors in the near future.
